NEVADA OPERA HAS ARTOWN FEVER!
We've expanded our Artown lineup beyond the popular Opera in Blue Jeans to an auspicious lineup of nine public performances, as well as one special show for the Boys & Girls Club and another for the National Guard. All events are offered free of charge with several shows geared toward children.
On the Fourth of July, Four world-class pianists dazzled an overflowing crowd at Steinway Gallery for the first of eleven performances at this year’s Artown. Fireworks @ThePiano featured four internationally renowned pianists playing classical masterpieces and original compositions on one of Steinway’s concert grand pianos.
Just two days later, Fuego restaurant was filled to capacity as a dozen singers recreated the second act of Die Fledermaus, and it was standing room only at Steinway Gallery on Sunday, Juily 7, as Nevada Opera performed “Opera Shorts”, nine micro-operas by living composers.
And it's not over yet! We've got more laughs, more music and more memorable moments to share with you and your family at this year's Artown!
