Michael (Doc) Gerber graduated in music education from Kansas University and the KU Medical School. He has been a member of the Nevada Opera Company since 1985 and performed the Jailer in Tosca, the Mayor in Carmen, Zuniga in Carmen, Forman of the Jury in Trial by Jury, the Registrar in Madam Butterfly and was a featured soloist in Some Enchanted Evening a Night with Richard Rodgers and performed the role of Elder Ott in Susannah by Carlisle Floyd with the Nevada Lyric Opera. He has also performed in many jazz venues and vocal ensembles in Reno and sings with the Reno Philharmonic Chorus.
