Ms. Maupin, a Reno native, has a degree in Sociology from the University of Nevada, Reno and a degree in Accounting from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. After managing small businesses for 20 years, in 1984, she joined the Nevada Gaming Control Board as a financial investigator, retiring as a supervisor in 2006. She subsequently served the National Indian Gaming Commission as a financial background investigator. Ms. Maupin was president of the Tahoe Rim Trail Association for four years.
