Sixth-generation Nevadan Cami Thompson has sung professionally over 35 years around the world in jazz festivals, concert halls, theaters, clubs, and as opening act for major artists.
In 2012, she appeared as Mrs. Lovett in Nevada Opera's production of Sweeney Todd - to rave reviews.
She started singing with Nevada Opera Chorus at 17; leading roles include Annie Oakley (Annie Get Your Gun), Agnes Gooch (Mame with Toni Tenille), Witch (Hansel and Gretel), Ellie Mae (Showboat). San Francisco shows include The Full Monty (Jeanette), Thoroughly Modern Millie (Muzzy), Annie (Miss Hannigan), and Girl Crazy (Kate Fothergill). Locally, Mame (Auntie Mame), Jesus Christ Superstar (Mary Magdalene), Follies (Sally Durant), Candide (Old Lady), Noises Off! (Dottie Otley), Best Little Whorehouse in Texas (Miss Mona, 4 times!)
