Resident Company
Auditions for Amahl and the Night Visitors and Madama Butterfly and new chorus members in general will be held on Tuesday, September 27 from 7-10 pm at the Gerber Medical Clinic. Please prepare something in either Italian if you wish to audition for Madama Butterfly; in English if you wish to audition for Amahl; or both is you wish to be considered for both productions. Please note there are limited costumes available for Butterfly so the chorus will be smaller. An accompanist will be provided should you require it. Current Nevada Opera Chorus members only need to audition if they are interested in a role. Here are the roles we are auditioning for this season:

Nevada Opera Youth Chorus
The Nevada Opera Youth Chorus, directed by Stephanie Urmston, will be holding auditions on Thursday, September 15th from 4:30-6:00pm and Saturday, September 17th from 11:00-1:00pm. Auditions are held at the Steinway Piano Gallery located at 500 E. Moana Lane.
Auditions will consist of singing a major scale, clapping a short rhythm pattern, echoing pitch patterns, singing “Twinkle Twinkle” with the director harmonizing, and finally singing a short piece of the student’s choosing (“My country ’tis of thee” for example).
